Sean Whitaker: The Practical Project Manager Hi, I'm Sean and I am passionate about the profession of project management. I am somewhat unique in the world of project management for a number of reasons. First, I have successfully delivered complex construction, IT/IS, software, organizational change, R&D, urban renewal and telecommunications projects. This means I have unique insights into the entire profession of project management. Second, I have turned my delivery experience into a successful consulting and teaching career. I have worked with the worlds leading organizations to help them all improve their project success rates. I have worked with small and large organizations, well established and startup organizations, complex and straight forward organizations and everyone in between. I know what good project management looks like. I am also a published author of several books on project management and also how to pass the PMP® credential. I have been teaching project management since 2005 and I have developed and delivered practical project management training from introductory level, to PMI credential examination preparation courses, to post graduate papers on project management. What really makes me unique is my dislike of jargon and my ability to explain and teach complex tools and techniques in an easy to understand, and apply, manner. I have had a global consulting career and now live in Christchurch, New Zealand. When I am not providing world class project management advice to my clients around the globe you will find me spending time with my family or playing guitar.
